Parkside Link Road – Traffic Management Update

Please see further update below:

Further to the email below, and because of the extreme rain experienced over the recent nights, this has hampered the work on site with mainly the application of road markings, and as a result of this the traffic management to be in place over the Christmas period has been revised.

The junction will still operate as a single lane running, standard roundabout arrangement as currently setup. The site team are in the process of reprogramming the aborted works and further communications will be issued in the New Year.

Regarding the M6 J22 scheme the following should be noted:

The scheme will be substantially complete on 19th December 2024 with reduced traffic management will be present on the highway.
During the Christmas 2024 Period, the permanent traffic signals will remain switched off and appropriate signage will be placed on site. During this period, the M6 Junction 22 will operate as a standard roundabout setup.
Within January 2025 there will be occasions where the Traffic Management will be required on the network to safely install features.
On 6th & 7th January 2025 the permanent traffic signals will be commissioned and following this will remain switched on. This will then result in the junction operating as a signalised roundabout.
